Established in 1996 by Shaun Wolfe-Murphy as WM Associates, EcologyNI Ltd is an ecological consultancy based in Co. Down and covering Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Shaun has worked as a professional ecologist since 1983, and worked mainly in government nature conservation agencies in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and England before setting up WM Associates.
Expertise:
Wide experience of working in all British and Irish habitats, including survey, classification (inc. NVC), evaluation and management prescriptions.
Special focus upon evaluative work in many different habitats, often with regard to site candidature for conservation designations.
Formulation of Site Management plans.
Provision of Nature Conservation Guidelines.
Preparation of the Flora and Fauna EIS’s at all stages from scoping to survey to mitigation recommendations.
Strategic nature conservation planning.
Shaun is primarily a botanist, but can arrange and manage multi-disciplinary surveys and assessments using various associate ecologists.
